Grey Wagtail
The Grey Wagtail is common on inland waterways across much of Britain, although it is less common in Eastern England. It prefers rocky streams that are fast flowing. It's main food is insects, which it catches on the wing, and also some small aquatic invertebrates. The habit of wagging it's tail is a territorial signal to other wagtails, to tell them that particular stretch of water is occupied.
