0012 Redwing
Redwing (Turdus iliacus)

The Redwing is very similar to the Song Thrush, but is easily identified by the red flanks and underwing which gives the species its name. It also has very obvious buff coloured stripes above the eye. This is a winter visitor from Scandinavia and is often seen in flocks with Fieldfares.
