KINGFISHERS

I have at last managed to get some images of Kingfishers that I'm pleased with. I've been trying for a couple of years and this year one of my local reserves had a breeding pair. Once the young fledged it wasn't long before the adult birds pushed them away. It appears that there are 2 juveniles and they have found a favourite fishing spot about 1 kilometre from the nest site. After a few visits, with more than a few hours of waiting, the birds arrived and showed off their fishing skills for the camera. I hope you enjoy the Kingfisher portfolio which can be viewed HERE.
