About

My fascination with British Wildlife and Nature stems from my childhood. I spent the first 12 years of my life growing up on the outskirts of a small village surrounded by the countryside of Berkshire. Having wildlife constantly pointed out to me by my Mum obviously sparked an interest. It has been a lifelong fascination and I still get a real buzz from seeing something that I haven't seen before.

My interest in photography started at age 16 when I bought my first camera. Being limited by the size of the lens, and budget, meant that frame filling shots of wildlife were still a long way off.

That was how it all started, and as time has gone on I've tried various cameras and equipment. When digital photography came along I kept shooting with film for a long time, as I believed the quality was still far better. Technology is always improving, and the time came when I finally took the plunge and bought my first digital SLR. That was in March 2007, and the images you see on this site are a selection of what I've seen, and managed to capture in the camera, since then.

Best Wishes,
Mark.
